I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and received a bachelor's degree in Agribusiness with a concentration in marketing. I put myself through school with minimal student loans by offering IT services to the local Fraternties and Sororities. Network appliance upgrades, WiFi configuration, and PC maintenance.
Shortly after graduation, I networked my way into a small startup that provided remote, real-time access to mobile handsets over the internet. I started as IT helpdesk and deployment, travelling around the world installing our technology into various datacenters. This technology eventually paved the way for others like AppThwack (purchased by Amazon), Xamarin (purchased by Microsoft), TestDroid, and Perfecto Mobile. I soon became involved with our customers directly, and my technical sales career blossomed. I had the privlage of working with many of the Fourtune 500 companies to help them test their mobile applications and prepare them for deployment across the mobile web and platform specific App Stores.
DeviceAnywhere was acquired by Keynote Systems in 2011, followed shortly by the acquisition of Keynote Systems by Thoma Bravo, a private equity firm. I stuck around for about a year, when another opportunity presented itself for vertical movement to further my career.
I took an opportunity closer to home, and now enjoy a much shorter commute. As a Bay Area native, any shortening of a commute is warmly welcomed.
Futuredial specializes in warehouse-class desktop software that helps determine secondary value and functional verification of used mobile devices. It will also perform a data scrub on the device as well, ensuring no previous user information resides on the device. I'm excited for this opportunity because it gives me the freedom to shape a product and still connect directly with our customers. Having the ability to both build AND deliver is highly satisfying.
